The E-wing owns pretty hard but I prefer this fanon design more than the official version: Not sure how the pilot gets in with the dorsal gun in the way? maybe there's a side hinge that rotates the gun upside down and to one side to allow to canopy to open, or maybe the canopy doesn't open at all and he climbs in through a bottom hatch. This version eschewing the top gun entirely is pretty cool too, but I'd add a second gun under each wing to make up for it: I also dig the fact that they finally figured out to put the astromech copilot in a covered hatch rather than get its dome shot off like R2-D2.

Fallen Hamprince posted:tie defender looks like rear end. really hard to make a non-airplane shaped starfighter that doesn't look like dogshit I dig Fractalsponge's interpretation, he made the cockpit module and connecting spars a lot bulkier so it doesn't look like it'll fall apart if it spins too hard http://fractalsponge.net/?p=2650

Mostly agree but I would put the Theta shuttle just below the Lambda and shuffle the rest of them down one. Really not a fan of the Rogue One shuttle, it looks like it belongs in a different universe from the Lambda even though they ought to be contemporaries. EDIT: huh, apparently it's called the Delta, although that letter rightfully belongs to the Delta JV-7 escort shuttle from TUE Fighter: EDIT2: Oh I forgot about the Zeta from Rogue One as well. This is a good shuttle too https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Zeta-class_cargo_shuttle ninjahedgehog fucked around with this message at 20:10 on Jan 23, 2020 |

Yeah I assume so -- they gave it a shot with the blasters at first but only when that didn't work did Luke tell Wedge and co. it was time to go to plan B. I think my favorite part of the Hoth sequence actually isn't the ground battle though, it's that dipshit Star Destroyer captain who has this pithy quip all lined up right before he gets completely loving clowned by the ion cannon. Presumably one of the X-wing pilots had his rear end cheeks pressed up against the canopy window as they breezed on by.
