I didn't know either; I had to look it up in Tobin's Droid Guide. It turns out the EG-6 is a "semi-autonomous bipedal assistant." Sounds greats, right? As near as I can tell from the specifications and capabilities charts in Tobin's the EG-6 can walk slowly and say "gonk" over and over. I deeply love how much this looks like it came out of a 90s LucasArts adventure game.

I was playing Squadrons last night and in the hangar bay I heard an overhead announcement that said "Advisory: even if you can't understand gonk droids, they can understand you. Interact accordingly." and got a big laugh out of it.

so on the one hand, this looks like a gonk droid gettin' his lil' feet toasted. but on the other hand, we hear the droid going "no... no... no!!!" so is this a gonk droid? or another droid that happens to look a lot like a gonk droid?
