I finally managed to get a screen cap of a common bird species that shows up at the Ohio bird feeder live stream that I still don't know:

Anyone know what they are? (I'm not a bird watching person and didn't even know what a common starling looked like.)

Pale Necked Anal Goblin

Good thing you were watching on webcam, when they see an animal or human they will sometimes fly directly towards their rear and try to burrow inside their butt to make a nice warm nest in the innards

Yellow crowned kinglet

He gave himself a concussion on my sliding patio door but recovered. Check out that orange strip in the middle of the crown! Also he pooped on my deck.

Found out that our local landfill allows birdwatchers early morning access before it opens. Seems like a good place to see some cool birbs so I'm going to take my kids there one weekend and check it out.

Hope you like seagulls

These guys have been visiting lately here in MN and I love them for whatever reason. It's funny to watch them, they prefer to ground forage for seed knocked out of the feeder than to to the feeder directly.

House finch? They love to make nests in hanging plants and rafters when spring rolls around.

e: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/House_Finch/overview

At various times I've had male house finches claim my deck but none have ever made a nest in my plants. Kind of hurts my feelings.

One year we had robins make a nest underneath but they never came back

Actually the bird was picked up by an ambulance and taken to the bird hospital where its stomach was pumped and it was fed activated charcoal.

Its parents were not happy when they got the call.

In San Francisco and Silicon Valley there are flocks of green parakeets that move in big mobs throughout the day. I see them in a park in Sunnyvale all the time making a big ruckus.

Probably monk parakeets and they're all over Texas too, my mom had one that escaped and probably joined a flock years ago.

Haven't seen them in Minnesota yet.
