have you guys ever heard the term "electronic body music" because i had never, until today. somehow this utterly disgusting and revolting term for music that is basically just industrial music to my ears came across my monitor, and i've been grimacing in disgust for the whole time it took for me to google the term and read the wikipedia article. it is causing a visceral reaction of disgust. i say the words aloud and i can taste bitterness upon my tongue. |

the neat thing about knowing which bands are racist is that you can be at a show, see a dude with a skrewdriver patch, and give him, you know... just an extra big shove in the pit. as a treat.

the less a piece of music has to offer, the more it must depend on trappings such as nomenclature and aesthetic candycore, an emo girl in a sunday school dress with pigtails and joker makeup. the mic looks like a lollipop. stage name Dedin Syde post-folk revival, skater guy with sad eyes and a lumberjack beard. acoustic guitar but he raps sometimes and his friend both hambones and beatboxes. i don't know what the name is. might actually listen to this but be too embarrassed to show anyone and then try to tell them i was into it before it was cool once it passes a couple million views new retro future funk. just gently caress right off bud i made myself mad with this one. it's some nerd trying to differentiate his cheap vapourwave from everyone else's and hopefully failing. i hate him. his name is "tohn jravolta", a hosed up derivation of "com truise" i really like music videos and all but writing this made me kinda think about how this kind of nonsense is a symptom of youtube, a social network/video streaming platform, being the primary means of music distribution these days. video killed the radio star, am i right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kAYYGZ8nC8

i struggled more with admitting i was super into taylor swifting, which is my term for a genre of performance art where i drink alone and cry while listening to sad lady singers than trying to explain to a cute girl at a party that i like music that sounds like a box of vhs tapes tumbling down a flight of stairs into a machine shop

and lo, the final seal was opened unto me, and i saw; a crowd beyond accounting, a throng of humanity, but as the angel drew me closer, i came to realize: they were all after a form. a tall dark haired man, a tall blond woman, a short dark haired man, a short dark haired woman, and then a man of average height with dark hair, and a woman of average height with hair the colour of silk from corn. this pattern, repeated, a hundred, thousand, million times, an ocean unending, a fount ever flowing, of friends. ding ding ding ding dingggg ding ding dingggg dinggggggggg the infinite crowd turned to me, and began to sing "we'll be there for you" and the vision departed. i fell upon the ground in wonder at what i had seen, and before i could stand the angel lifted me, placed me upon a comfortable seat and handed me a cup of hot, invigorating liquid. the angel spoke, and asked "so who do you think you are? i'm definitely a chandler, could i be more sarcastic????"

EDM- Extremely Disgusting Music. It's the music Mike Rowe has playing when he's doing Dirty Jobs. The CD cover is scratch & sniff so you can smell the places he's been. Comes with complementary barf bag |
