Hi, GBS, you're cool!

Ever since I went vegetarian (I was inspired by a thread in GBS) my favorite food is definitely Jalapeno poppers. They have a kick to them, they get me some much-needed protein, they are fun to eat, and I think they count as vegetables.

But I've been having trouble pairing them with a dip. Online I see people like to dip them in ranch, but that's so boring. So far I've tried my homemade barbecue sauce, my bbq sauce mixed with super hot sauce, Buffalo Wild Wings Spicy Garlic sauce which is horrible and the jalapeno poppers didn't help, some TGIF raspberry habanero sauce, ranch, and blue cheese.

Nothing really felt like it paired great, I get the feeling the perfect dip is out there, I just haven't found it yet.

What do all you other people dip your daily serving of vegetables into?

I usually just eat them, but I've had them served with blue cheese, marinara and nacho cheese when I've ordered them at places. Separate containers, that would be gross if it was together.

If they're really good, just eat them, while hot. They're usually a side dish, so you won't have more than 3 or 4.

What blasphemy is this, there's like 24 in a box you make the entire box then eat them over the course of a few hours while watching TV on a Sunday afternoon

you have been visited by the Tasty Garlic Bread. you will be blessed by having good Garlic Bread in your life time, but only if you comment "ty garlic bread" in the thread below
If the thread you posted in E/N is to be believed then you should shove it up your rear end like the rest of your vegetables. No need to ask GBS.

2 tsp Cornstarch

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add 1 tablespoon flour and whisk until smooth and toasted, 5 minutes. Whisk in 1 cup each whole milk and heavy cream; bring to a boil. Add 2 ounces each grated mild cheddar, monterey jack, Oaxaca and asadero cheese. Whisk until melted. Stir in a pinch each of cayenne and cumin, 1 tablespoon each minced pickled jalapenos and pickled jalapeno juice and 2 tablespoons pico de gallo. Remove from the heat and keep warm

The point I'm trying to make is that the only way to come out on top is to kick the Air Force in the nuts, beart it savagely with a weight and take a dump on it's face.
These aren't vegetarian, but if you ever need to make sides for a potluck:

4 Packs Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (the pre-cut ones)
2 packs cream cheese
4 fresh jalapenos, diced
1 package bacon

Fry or bake your bacon until desired crispness. Cut into 2" or so strips.

Roll crescent roll dough out on a greased baking tray. On each triangle of dough, add 1 tsp of cream cheese, a pinch of jalapeno (leave the seeds in for best results) and the bacon. Roll the dough into a ball around the filling. Arrange 2" or so apart from each other and bake for about 20 minutes at 350, or until golden brown.

Every work potlock my office will demolish a 40-pack of these and it costs next to nothing and is quick to prepare. Goes surprisingly well dipped in marinara as well.
