villager posting? villager posting. Got these three so far:

Only cute villagers allowed on my island. Dom is extra adorable, but unfortunately, is a jock. drat you, Dom.

Clocks posted:

Also you can flat out shovel and replant entire trees. I took some coconut trees and extra apple trees home from the deserted island I visited, as well as some flowers. The benefit to this is you don't need to wait extra days for them to grow on your island, the only downside is it takes a fruit-energy to do. It's also helpful if you want to do landscaping on your town without straight up chopping down trees. Cheers everyone!
Being able to just straight up uproot a tree and shove it into your pocket is simultaneously the greatest and funniest addition to the game

unfortunately, you still can't edit designs you get from QR code for reasons beknownst only to nintendo, so you can't touch up those older designs to make them look nicer with the new resolution.

There are only villagers on the expedition islands until you recruit 3 of them.

...Well, I say baffling, but stupid decisions are par for the course at nintendo. :v:

in other news, this was too great not to share:

someone from tumblr posted:

You’re a dodo bird, working as an airline pilot. Your job is to take one human from one populated island to deserted ones when they turn in a ticket for that exact purpose. At first, this was a normal, easy job, and the human would come back with a full backpack of fruit, wood, and flowers, all while looking pleased. It wasn’t long until the human got used to this service, and they start asking you to take them to various deserted islands in the dead of night. You oblige, for it is your lot in life, and you’re paid very well. These night time visits to the islands seemed to be different. You could hear the ominous sounds of trees crashing to the ground and of metal hitting stone, and then silence for hours on end. Occasionally, your passenger would need first aid attention, and you’d feel relief and then shock as they would come to, pull out their net, and wander back onto the island. Every so often they would trudge up to the docks and you feel a sense of hope, wondering if they were ready to go home yet. They aren’t. They need a lovely net, and pay you in Nook Miles. Then they run back out onto the island, completely devoid of trees, boulders, and any signs of life.

One day, on the flight back to the main island, you ask them, “So what is it do you do out here on those little islands anyhow?”

They smile a weary smile, their face bruised and swollen from wasp stings, before reaching for their backpack, which has the Nook Inc. logo lovingly sewn into it. Curious, you take a peek, and recoil in horror as countless tarantulas threaten to spill out into your seaplane. The human closes the bag tightly, taking care not to injure any of the tarantulas inside.

You decide not to ask any more questions about what this human does in their spare time.

If I have one complaint with this game it's how fish bait is handled.
A: Clams don't stack in the inventory
B: 1 clam = 1 fish bait
C: you can't craft something in batches, only one at a time

Change any of those things and searching for stuff like the stringfish (or the marlin) would be so much better

Because of this naming bug you have to do it one at a time. Then once you've scanned the code, go into the game's Nook Phone and go to the custom editor and on the non-pro one, choose a blank canvas and press + to upload from the Switch App. Once the patern is in your game you can hang it on your wall, wear it as a tank-top shirt, or use it to customize things like your in-game phone case or other customizable DIY items.
