Someone alerted me that this website uses an updated version of the same algorithm that the website in the OP uses, and the results are better: http://myheritage.com/incolor You have to sign up and it puts watermarks on the photos, but yeah I have to say it does a much better job than the DeepAI site:

I'd really like to know what happened with the coat of the guy in the top left. There are no obvious visual cues that point to why there should be a blue patch among the brown. (And yeah, I know, explanations from a neural net lol.)
