Supposedly this time we're actually going to see the rest of it (3 volumes total and a 1-volume spinoff), and they've been promoting the digital edition as "re-localized" so at least this feels like I'm getting something a little different and not just re-buying exactly the same book a second time. The rest of the series is really what I'm looking forward to though.

It's just the one volume, but the recent Humble Manga Bundle from Kodansha has in the $1 tier 'What Did You Eat Yesterday?' which I have no idea the quality of. https://www.humblebundle.com/books/awardwinning-manga-2022-kodansha-comics-books The full $40 bundle has a bunch of good stuff too, like Blue Period, Witch Hat Atelier, Your Lie in April and Princess Jellyfish (which apparently was in the last manga bundle?)

What Did You Eat Yesterday? is fantastic. It's a very chill cooking/slice of life manga so the plot is mostly centered around cooking meals but it's up to like 18 volumes or so now of following Shiro and Kenji's lives and relationship along with their coworkers, friends, and extended family. One thing I really love about it is they're middle-aged (iirc late 40s at the start and then moving into their 50s) and they're starting to deal with health concerns from aging and Shiro's parents getting older. You really get to know everyone in their social circles so when a new volume comes out it's like catching up with old friends  Highly recommend it. It was only available in print for a really long time but a couple years ago finally got a digital version so it's much more accessible now.

since a lot of people have Strong Feelings about omegaverse stuff, I should probably note that YuWu in its early draft phase was meant to be modern day omegaverse and a lot of those elements are very obvious in the final version meatbun wrote. I would in no way call YuWu omegaverse, but a lot of plot points and dynamics were obviously adapted from the genre and I could see it bothering people who have a strong dislike of it. aside from that what I read of it had cool worldbuilding and really strong themes in regards to classism and how the characters perceive and interact with the world due to their status, so I'm really looking forward to it! in other news I've seen some rumors that the Shanghai lockdown is having a hugely adverse effect on donghua production since a lot of animation studios are located there, bummer but kind of expected
