another thing that fucks up music artists money today is that they are getting railed by at least three corporate vampire entities. while back in the day they got hosed by their labels controlling the numbers and running two books, with enough money and good lawyers you could force them to make concessions. now you got the labels, the DSPs and LiveNation spitroasting you. Good luck trying to audit Spotify or LiveNation not blacklisting you globally if you don’t play ball.
