This will be a game changer. Now we can churn out mid-grade Golden Cores at a minimum and with better grooming, not have to worry about Qi shortages. The sect may as well be in a new age of growth and possibly greater than the Taiyi ever was.

The charm law is really, really good for another reason that I won't spoil, but it's one of the laws that people use as the final one after they've reincarnated people multiple times through other laws. It has immense personal benefits that aren't visible just from looking at the list of its techniques.

We are getting another There must be a shortcut key to select/deselect all of them. We don’t need any more ancient beast bone essence. We need demon meat. I think Golden Core boar drops meat, so we will sacrifice this non-poster. He will EXP dump on charm creation skill on our newly acquire law. Edit: Bad idea. Non-element means he don’t get any benefit from element cultivation spot. Treasure Law!? We already have it. Worse, low grade pills that we have plenty in stock. Arcanse finally reached his final prime. Just in time. We found the Golden Trove to be in this pond. We will go for the ring since accessory are passive effect. We did it! They are actually treasures, but they are probably the most powerful treasure we can find for free. Not as much Qi as I expected with Coffee charging it. Still working on getting his second treasure slot unlocked. Easiest way would be to steal this from the Pure Lotus Sword sect instead of accumulating 5 favors, but they are currently closed! In the meantime, he is gathering grace from heaven to ease the eventual storm. Also doing really well on diverse aspects of his cultivation. We need to succeed in an event to make one!? Since we are observing heaven, then we should be figuring out how to… make a pill out of it? We did it. This seem too easy… or is there better result? YES! We found the strongest offensive law! Blast it open with your strongest spell! You got to be kidding me. I don't need more bad news. IceBlock’s countdown arrived before he made it to demi-god! You got to be kidding me! Is the Feng Shui trying to sect wipe us? Too bad we are stronger than Feng Shui! IceBlocks survived all SIX clouds! Minor injuries. Most of it are probably before I activated rage. I stacked a ton of rage bonus Sun Essence for everyone. I think you also dived away from some lightning strike with your 72.48% dodge chance! Next time you will do it in this room that give another 15% dodge chance! All of our body cultivators decided to celebrate by feeding our rabbits instead of breathing in top grade weather essence. They never did this before. But great job, my boy! All those hours spent raising you wasn’t a waste! You are now Half-bear, Half- -Uh… quarter-human? Now you can be with Slaan forever. But Slaan would be too busy in the toilet after getting fed by Evening Snow. Back to this Eternal Night weather. Everyone dislikes being in the dark for days, but this weather provides one of the best essence for body cultivator. Our Charisma Cat GridLocked would freak the meow out with a huge In-The-Dark penalty without lighting. What better way to lit up the night than burning up an ancient giant fossil? And tables, why not. It would have been worse for everyone if I didn’t industrialized the local lighting system. For the next 8 days where I don't need to baby body cultivators, we can work on getting Nick (Treasure Law) and Foul ole Ron (Charm Law) into Golden Core. Both are test case for observing each law. It’s good to have maximized the logistic travel of our body cultivator. They can practically eat and sit at the same spot with food teleport directly to them. We already have successes in obtaining this rare essence from the Eternal Night weather. The trait it provide will weakens the body and delay tribulation timer, but the best benefit is the capability to increase the max amount of trait slot caps for all body parts. The brain is the only organ that can increase trait slot normally. It’s a netgain in stat if you bother to take advantage of the additional slots. One of the Body Law is specifically design to take advantage of refining their body through Eternal Night Essence. I won’t recommend you unlocking more slot through this method unless you have done this tedious trait-gacha for so long that it became a hobby. Like me. But it's certainly worth the trouble of getting IceBlocks into obtaining human form, and the valuable beast form. Human and Demon form provides balance stats to combat, which further modifies by combat stance later Animal form contains an extra ‘Demon’ buff that greatly strengthen IceBlocks’ combat capability and speeds up body part cultivation. The downside is the decline of Daoist cultivation speed, learning efficiency, and mental state penalty. State of Mind affects breathing efficiency, so he will stay humanoid until the weather is over. Besides the healing skill all body cultivator starts with, IceBlocks gained a SECOND rage skill that can boost their body stat and treasure for Daoist. This skill burns their life energy, which is… I don’t see anything consumed from using it. Not lifespan, or collected Life Essence. Enough about body cultivators. I can now afford to place my attention on Outers since the rest of the Inner are travel-grinding cultivation EXP at element spots. It will be a long wait for all of them. TravelLog expressed interest in learning the new Charm Law. It’s a shame that he can’t stay employed as an Outer… But everyone has the rights to become immortal. Except those Outer who can’t made it for their short countdown. Thanks for all your hard work, whoever you are. Unfortunately, we don’t have a perma Base Stat buff secret art for Sense stat, so TravelLog will have to sacrifice a few dao cost to increase Sense from other arts. Time to steps up our Charms product quality with this new master and… add soul strands for other Inner to use? Ancestor GridLocked will accept you as his student in exchange for first dibs on whatever thing this law can do. “You third generation have it easy with Max Qi.” It’s only thematic for your room to have a Feng Shui disrupting charms that boost Comprehension by 10%. Don’t worry, this non-sentient tree doesn’t drop leaves in autumn. The sentient one is currently confine and roaming about in a nice empty room. It really wants to eat some quality poo poo. Regrettably, we need 400 more poops to turn the rest of the wheat farm into fertile soil. Nick (Treasure law) will reach the Qi Refinement realm soon, and shortly follow by Foul (Charm Law). NEVERMIND. NEVERMIND AGAIN! He did it first try with 20%. Since he will be breaking core at next realm, there's no reason not to waste Dao point to prioritize flying over water element spot for exp. This is our secret to Nascent Soul in slightly more than a month. Not fast enough to save our dusted Outer from short count down. It’s about time to get a new batch of mortals or desperate demons. Or perhaps we can hire some unemployed Inner? Or beat them up for ancient loots? Either way, we can only come upon them by luck whenever they show up on the map. Did Max Luck Radio Free Kobold led us to some sort of ancient burial ground? To nobody’s surprise, Blaze Dragon is ready to become Demi-God. Uhh, there’s one more? The Eternal Darkness weather locked his Yin Yang Bonus to one. 60% chances after Yellow Court Pill, let’s go! Success! His master, GridLocked gives it a cute cat soul boost thing to keep him entertained. One string of consciousness gained, but... what next? I just notice the exp aren't filled for some reason, so we will make a few more trips to hit the real bottleneck. My bad, it only needed One Trip. Let’s continue. Round 1: Alright, this is the real deal. Thank the heaven that this doesn’t cost anymore lifespan. A Nascent Soul and Golden Core demon came for vengeance. But, this isn't Coffee’s breakthrough. Merely a three seconds hindrance. Another one right after them? Thanks for the nice poo poo! Alright, let’s test with only accessory, metal TP, and his maxed Qi Protection skill. That’s a lot less Qi than expected. Hmm, 70k Qi tanked about half of the cloud strength. Round 2: 57k Qi Non-element treasure loan by Coffee. Plus, Daoist Berk-heal Mode for thematic climax to his lifeburning journey. BURN TOWARDS HEAVEN! He’s doing worst. The metal element treasure from last trial seem to have greater impact against the cloud. Round 3: Our best Metal treasure pre-charged by Coffee. Along with 15k more Qi to beat Heaven with raw number. Almost forgot about this to stack on top of his Qi Protection skill. Only tanked 5000 more Qi from Round 1!? More experimentation is needed for Blaze Dragon to beat The Game. There’s no doubt that he can succeed with BUY EVERYTHING, but we should find an optimal path of investment for future Juniors who can’t afford to whale.

The parasol is bad for tribulations. Can you guess why a parasol is bad during a thunderstorm? Can you have more of the same passive item in your inventory? Luck also weakens tribulations, so stuff him with all the luck Arts. Give him a Five Elements Powder as well to stack with the pellets. I tentatively recommend lowering the qi max a treasure can have, since their depletion and recovery doesn't seem at all affected by the scroll and other qi defense boosters. Which means that when one runs out it's drinking down qi for a third or less the effect that straight up tanking would have. This is the real secret of Sunflower Refining and why my crappy core 6 ascension was also able to do two more dao breakthroughs than anyone else has so far.

Round 4: Charms. This will be a good opportunity to see how little amount of these bonus can help Blaze Dragon. Quick reminder of the 370k Qi cloud. Those weak charms with 0.0x bonus took off about… 10k. Could be 100K on higher decimal. Round 5: Weaker treasure. I am told that having a treasure with too much Qi is bad if you don’t have the skill to back it. So we will go with this treasure that have much lower Qi capacity scaling, and it's pre-charged with plenty of Qi by a capable treasure wielder. Holy poo poo! Who knew wielding treasure above your actual skill capability would deters you this much! I see. Qi Protection doesn’t apply to Qi being sucked into the treasure, so Blaze Dragon got more Qi to resist with his Qi-coated body. Kinda like body cultivator. Then what if… Congratulation! You did it… WITHOUT TREASURE! I can’t believe it! All these times, this Daoist treasure system have been a scam by heaven! How many slots and treasure skill level does it need before it can surpass lv 20 Qi Protection!? One last thing I want to test is our Super Luxurious Metal Qi Room. Is it better than Metal TP? Welp, this thing broke easily. But the epic Qi concentration here is perfect for tanking with body. … He only started losing Qi after our Qi gathering item broke down and leaked/weakened the Qi concentration. Uh oh, how much does it cost to repair our Dimension Pocket Station that have almost everything in it? It's quite thematic for your breakthrough to burn down our entire wealth, so I will let you decide if you want to do so. In the meantime, I will assume no. Back to the TP station. I will leave this TP unrepaired while we brainstorm for a better design. This a long list of breakthrough bonus! 40% more Qi protection and Elemental dmg recovery truly makes him as hard to kill as a body cultivator. Congratulation, Ancestor Blaze Dragon! Your contributions to our breakthrough knowledge will be praised by all students! You have five days before a Firestorm comes to burn you. Maybe you should ascend to heaven? For what it's worth, daoist cultivating demi-immortals can stave off their tribulations basically forever. The tribulation timer doesn't decrease while the character is cultivating, and they no longer need to eat or sleep (or at least only extremely rarely and for very short periods of time). So, while it says 5 days, in practice that's 5 days spent fighting, exploring maps, crafting, etc.

Random thing I discovered while messing around with seeing what boosts are best for a low/no treasure strat and Consciousness refining(I'm thinking Congenital Arrogance is good if only because it seems easy enough to get to do more Qi than it takes, but there's definite need for boosters) and I found out that it is possible to kill somebody by running them way too dry of Qi in a formation. But we're talking a just over 1k newbie. EDIT: The thread reminded me of the Kunlun Cultivation Altars. My Seven Slaughtering Swords cultivator managed to get through Tribulation 2 using only the better two weapons, spell powers boosters from all around, Congenital Arrogance, Metal Thunder, Water Replenishment, and Thick Earth Shield. And the usual boosters and a little luck. Could have set up the altar better, though. Incidentally, soon I'm going to see the fearful numbers of a Sunflower with Treasure Control 30, Solitary Sword, Great Virtue, True Yin Qi, and eventually the Secret Treasure of Sunflower Refining. On the 300th day, the Cult of Bèn gained a Daoist demi-immortal. Everyone are excited with the insight and knowledge of how to become god without going to the gym. Ancestor Blaze Dragon discovers two useless skills that: Makes a pill we can already produce with a magic tree, and a speed and success rate improvement for refining treasure. We could had asked for a loan of this treasure to fight against the tribulation instead of making regular treasure that is detrimental to survival. Instead of ascending to heaven, Blaze Dragon choose to stays home and watch over everyone while maintaining a formation. It’s easy to max two skills with so many unspent exp and Dao reduction from the Heavenly Origin item. To give the treasure system the benefit of a doubt, we will now invest heavily on Coffee like we do to Blaze Dragon to test out the capability of a master wield multiple treasures. However, his law is for spellcasting, so we will wait for us to obtain the Seven Slaughter Law before breaking his core to start over. It's worth the trouble just for cleaning off all these accumulated Dao Points and desperate Max Qi secret art purchases in the early days . Not all is lost if we break core with the expensive elixir method. We will also keep an eye for other expensive elixir for him in the future. In the meantime, Coffee will accumulate more favors from heaven and deal with whatever mysteries of the world. To obtain new formation for Blaze Dragon stealing would be necessary. Because the one we stolen was only useful for buffing treasure, which is useless for us until Coffee is ready to dip into Formation. We have no idea how well this walking-lightbulb will do in stealth, but I am interested to see how long it takes for a whole sect to murder him. Without treasure to protect him, of course. An demi-immortal who don’t need to eat or sleep anymore will be fine. Mood is a mortal thing he no longer cares about. A complete shell of a person who owned everything with money. Oops, Dead Meat already stole Pure Lotus School's formation scroll last time. Waiting for opportunity is a bad idea for Blaze Dragon. His tribulation countdown will continue when he is outside of meditation/cultivation. He tries to punch down a wall for shortcut, but everyone noticed. Welp, let’s count how long he wi- 0.3 seconds. Ancestor Blaze Dragon is not pleased by the overwhelming strength of other sect. It’s best to send someone who is great for the job Let’s try stealing from this faraway sect that also have the break core pill I mentioned. It’s fine. You will be fine. In another timeline. Ahh, a new demon wishes to join us! Excellent, I am too lazy to invite more myself! Good Fox. I will get you more non-turtle friends soon. Sounds like a job for Coffee. Time to find out what is buried under us. It’s located at the top right end of our sect and its appearance has destroyed one of our streetlight. What!? It demands sacrifice and Feng Shui landscaping service!? I haven’t send you the bill for my streetlight yet! Guess who ruined this perfectly nice Feng Shui decoration? You turn my land into mud! How is that good Feng Shui? It seems we can seal it up or make a wish for it. We definitely can’t destroy it. Coffee will go with our streetlight bill. Let’s starts with giving us more Qi to fix the Feng Shui. It demands 39 units of any food item within 3 days. Fair enough, you need food to work afterall. Food worth nothing to us at this point. Hope you like Pear Soup and noodles. An insignificant Outer can hands them over. The duration is a bit short, but probably great for our Body Cultivators. It became stronger by 5 points and remain satisfied. Apparently, this thing is big enough of a deal to warrant a tutorial. I heard bad things about it, but unspoiled by the detail. Let’s do the tutorial to decides how to handle it. Ah, it has a Flood Dragon in there, and Extremely Auspicious Feng Shui will keeps it happy. This is one of those Feng Shui disruption item that can turn a room's Feng Shui into Extremely Auspicious by satisfying its room requirement. … aaaand this is the part where the English mod or something broke the tutorial. We will have to figure out the rest. Fortunately, I know how to do this disruption setup and we happen to have one crafted by Huo Zhen a while ago! It’s clearly a sign from our Ancestor to have us build whatever room it needed! It spawned in a nice unused spot of our sect, so this will be a great place for any kind of room! HOLY poo poo! It actually wants us to make an Ancestral Palace! Is this Flood Dragon our ancestor!? What should we do!? Nyaa fucked around with this message at 20:40 on Sep 27, 2020 |
