I knew going into the final that Crystal wasn't going to win, then when all three went through my hopes were raised. The moment I saw Yvie I knew it wasn't going to happen though. What the hell is up with Ru, has he forgotten how to do makeup or what? Three times he's worn a facekini and a really basic outfit on a green screen.

I'm happy with Jaida winning, but I was really hoping Crystal would somehow pull it out. She just seems to take so much joy in her performance, and is genuinely weird in a way a lot of queens only claim to be (looking at Aiden Zhane here). At least this means we'll almost certainly get to see her in all stars some day.

I've heard speculation he's recovering from a lift, but that seems unlikely being that he knew he'd be on camera about this time combined with the recent moratorium on elective surgery. I'd guess he's out on the ranch and didn't have most of his drag stuff with him, probably combined with the fact that he hasn't done his own makeup in years. Easier to be read looking like yourself in a facekini than being read for looking like you failed at doing your makeup. Anyway, overall pretty happy with the result. I was Team Gigi, as I just liked some of her drag a bit more, but there's nothing but positive things to say about Jaida. I like Crystal also but felt like she was probably a long shot.

Very pleased with the winner. I thought Jaida killed the finale, even if her first two lip-syncs weren't as high concept. A satisfying end to a weird season. Very excited for AS5 and don't have drag race burnout. Yet.

I'm not gonna lie, I am unreasonably excited for Derrick. Morbidly curious to see if he's changed at all. Generally a lot of the differences in a queen's ability from their main season to All Stars can be attributed to the boost in income, notoriety, and consistent booking that getting a spot lands you, but Derrick arguably had all 3 of those beforehand? I'm also really interested in mariah because she was kinda fuckin' boring in season 3. Same with India.

Mariah is a really great queen, even if she didn't do so well her season. She comes from the ballroom scene in Atlanta (and still does balls at least recently if not now, I'm not sure), which is such a cool thing to have represented in the show, not to mention she is flawless in them! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sl-s4Ytia6g Plus she was in the Juice music video.
