Wow, some of these queens in boy drag are very attractive. Definitely a higher ratio than most US seasons. Edit: Oh, interesting. I thought Brooke was going to be the host. Watched DRCAN! Impressions: - Kyne is the most unimpressive and loudest. Huge turnoff, hope she fixes it - Love Starzy's speech mannerisms, gives me the ballroom swish that Vivacious had - I really dig Jimbo's vibe! - Rita Baga cloaking Juice Boxx with her outfit when she was struggling was wholesome af - I would've chosen Kiara as a winner or at least top, because she reminds me of Naomi's Wizard of Oz scarecow look - Everyone seems pretty okay, interested to see how this goes. - I can't hear that Carly Rae Jepsen song without thinking about that Vine of the girl bopping to that song and pointing to her cat over and over again - The closed captions all say "word" instead of "work" and boy howdy does that bother me Wow, I missed Brooke Lynn! Also on WoW Presents Plus it's listed as having two seasons, so I'm not sure what that's about... Most of those boxes could have been a challenge alone A few notes on the judging: - What on earth was potato dress doing in top 3, I am actually baffled - As much as I think that the rainbow dress queen is neat, that dress was a solid safe when there was poo poo like the scarecrow outfit in the mix - The gold jumpsuit was honestly pretty impressive, but putting all the balls at the bottom like that was an obvious and considerable problem. If she just shut her idiot mouth and accepted the criticism with a like "yeah I thought it looked good in the moment but obviously not so great in execution!" that would have flown so much better. I'm iffy on it, but there were a few uggo outfits in there that could have changed out for hers. It was really nice to have a perfectly standard and solid first episode! And weird to be like I KNOW ALL OF THESE REFERENCES

They really went out of their way to make sure everyone knew this was NOT Brook Lynn Hytes’ Drag Race. I’m glad Lemon stayed. Her confessionals looked mighty teary-eyed, but she seems like she’s fun. That was some of the best Snatch Game that we've ever seen. Alexis, Juju, Shea, phenomenal. Alexis did better than her iconic pregnant lesbian Alicia Keys. Also, Team India or Team Alexis? I think it's probably a little of both. I'm usually not someone who buys into that adage of, "There's three sides to every story..." I think that far too often one party is lying, or misremembering, and that it's quite likely that the other party is telling the truth, and if you were to take a little bit of A, and a little bit of B, you come up with a falsehood. But I think that the adage applies here, and that they were both lying. I think what probably happened was Alexis and Mayhem did broach the topic of voting out Shea because they saw her as competition. But I don't think it was some major conspiracy, they never actively tried to get the numbers. Maybe Alexis just thought that since she, Alexis, and India had that season 3 connection, and she floated the idea with her. And I think that India knows that it wasn't some active campaign. I think that this was just India's last ditch effort to stay in the game, and she didn't mind throwing Alexis under the bus to do so. And I think that Alexis couldn't just admit to what happened because what India was saying was partially true. So the only thing she could do was accuse India of being a liar.

I believe India only because we've seen Alexis be strategic and manipulative for three seasons. I'd agree that India probably amped up the drama. Great episode, overall. Loved Alexis, Juju, and Shea. But also, just crown Shea already.

That near-kiss between Ru and Jeffrey made me actively homophobic. I'm not a Shea-stan but she deserves the world (or at the very least a week in France) for Snatch Game. Once again, Juju's talking heads are my favorite thing ever. Lastly, DRCAN is a loving cute good time. Jimbo for the crown, but I don't hate anyone ... yet. Regarding the midseason twist, idk.
