Plain rooibos is kinda ehh but when you get the ones blended with flower petals and berries and poo poo, oh yeah. I used to get a peach one with peach flowers in it and it's really good, but lately I've been getting this provençal one that's so amazingly fragrant and tasty.

drat that looks like good stuff, where do you even get that from?

I get it from everyday gourmet coffee in St Lawrence Market in Toronto. The peach one I got from Moonbean in Kensington Market, who I'm pretty sure sell the same provencal one, but sadly I haven't been to Moonbean since the whole lockdown. They're usually my go-to place for beans and tea. I don't know exactly how much it costs, but I could send you some if you like!

Lapsang souchong tea. Mmm smokey.

Now with extra narwhal meat!
HAIKOOLIGAN
Smoked beverages of any kind are highly divisive because everyone's palate is different, and the smoky phenols are perceived by some people a lot more strongly than others. Having said that, I'm definitely on board the lapsang souchong train, and I have a tin of it right here in my office! Drinking an Assam loose tea blend rn

Nettle Soup

Oh, and Jones was there too.

I chopped down a load of nettles, dried them out, and now I'm pretending it's tea. Surprisingly drinkable, and a snack at the end!

Ain't no problem! Tea doesn't have to be camellia sinensis. It's all good.

Unless you're talking about coffee!

see rooibos, chamomile, mint, and other non-camellia sinensis goodness for more details

if it's a dried plant of some kind and it steeps into goodness (and it isn't coffee beans), you got yourself some tea. pretty sure that's how it goes

I asked the girl at the cash and she said you could use their custom order form on their website to get their loose leaf stuff. Or call the store and they can process the transaction over the phone. Here's their site in case you or anyone else is interested. https://everydaycoffee.com/

drinkin some uptons richmond park blend and it is so nice.

I had some rooibos tea last night and it was good! could probably be improved by being chai'd or something, but not at all bad by itself with milk, and not nasty af like chamomile with milk.

Does anyone have any idea how to pronounce tisane? Because I sure don't.

Drinking wormwood tea here. It stimulates the stomach and the bowels.

I will have to try it out next time I order. I really like the east frisian stuff I think you recommended, but I'm not really wild about their irish breakfast. I think it's because i'd gotten used to my twinning bags of irish breakfast and this is different. It gets a kind of funny taste like macaroni and cheese with milk on the second steeping or something.

Having some dragon well. It's helping the sore throat. Really hitting the spot right now.

Christoph

Tried chaga mushroom tea. It's actually pretty good after you add maple syrup to it. Mixes well with instant coffee, too.

Only a howler
During the recent unpleasantness I have been drinking a big pot of tea every morning. Sometimes a strong breakfast blend, sometimes oolong, occasionally chai with cream.

It was really nice. I stabbed a chunk off right after that pic was taken. I should shoot some pics of the actual tea tomorrow morning when I rally get into it.

It's a pretty young raw cake -- it's only from 2019. Hopefully I can have the willpower to hang onto it for a while to experience how it changes over time.
