Seems likely that every team but one of Nashville/Minnesota and San Jose are going to make the playoffs this year, doesn't bode well for coach job stability

Yeah actually, what the hell happens if a player on a team contracts Coronavirus? Like standard procedure right now seems to be to isolate the person and everyone he's come into contact with.. can't really do that with a team

Basically what i'm saying is gently caress you Ken Holland, shoulda drafted Quinn

Wait how is this about money? If there's no/condensed playoffs(personally ill be surprised if there are playoffs at all) thats a huge chunk of revenue lost. I think its highly likely that more players in both leagues are infected but we don't know because of the long incubation period and the lack of available tests

I just don't understand what happens if they actually do start the playoffs and someone tests positive. Like say you're the afternoon before game 3 Caps Pens and Ovechkin tests positive. Do you play without him? Do you shut down the series until you figure out how he contracted it? Do you let the players stay in the same hotel any longer? I'll be shocked if they actually award a cup this year

There was a brief moment where i really thought they were lost without Yzerman.
