Plus there's nowhere near the convenience and accessibility as a city like Toronto with proper public transportation infrastructure. I hate to say this, but you'll find that racism up here is not that much different from the States. Maybe less overt but it's there. The further away you get from the big cities the more you notice it. I'd like to think it's getting better and people are becoming more tolerant but it's a far cry from the racial harmony notions that liberal Americans have of Canada.
