A true renaissance man

I decided to figure out who the most active UFC champions have been:

The "loss to end?" column counts the fight where the champ lost the belt (and is 0 for fighters who are active, relinquished, or were stripped).

Kinda interesting I guess. That Jones has been so active is probably the best thing about him.

E. If Anderson gets credit for fighting at 205 and vs Lutter he goes to 163.8;

Max goes to 185 for his fight vs Poirier.

Nunes goes to 222 if she gets credit for the Cyborg fight.

e.e. And if we do the same for Matt Hughes's second run (counting non-title fights while champ) he has 5 fights in 757 days, for 151.4 days/fight

oh, that's a shame, i wanted it to stand. I loved that Ion was surprised that his strategy of 'pretending to be hurt for 20 seconds while getting hit repeatedly' resulted in a stoppage.

Here's the thing, from seeing the footage especially post-stoppage we can very clearly see that he was pretending, but even if he wasn't that stoppage is still awful. I think it should be overturned, but I realize that commissions are weird and that kind of thing can be difficult, but the fight still needs to actually happen, this isn't even a rematch they just never got to fight in the first place.

Guy is quite a bit taller than Yoel. Looks like an easy cut to 205 kind of fighter.

I'm still really interested in seeing Yoel vs. JBJ. Even more so after what I think will be a KO victory for Israel Adesanya. Yoel without depleting himself to make 185, really, is what I want to see more than anything. Yoel with all of his cheatingsavvy veteran ways vs Jones is just a really intriguing matchup for me.

Israel Adesanya first to weigh in at 184.5. As he's walking out says he guesses Yoel's weigh will be 186 or 185.4.

Max Griffin 170.5.

Weili Zhang 115.

Alex Oliveira 171.

Gerald Meerschaert 185.

Beneil Dariush 156.

Deron Winn 185.5.

Polyana Viana 116.

José Alberto Quiñónez 135.5.

Guido Cannetti 135.5.

Sean O'Malley 135.5.

At this point I saw them slide the scale thing back to 185 and thought oh poo poo Yoel? But no there's a 185 fight on this card besides the main and Gerald/Deron, whoops.

Saparbek Safarov 186.

Joanna Jędrzejczyk 115.

Mark Madsen 156.

Neil Magny 171.

Danaa Batgerel 136.

Drakkar Klose 156.

Giga Chikadze 146.

Li Jingliang 171.

Rodolfo Vieira 186.

Jamall Emmers 145.5.

22 minutes in to the weigh in window, first break. Waiting for Emily Whitmire, Austin Hubbard, and of course, the soldier of god.

25 minutes in, Austin Hubbard 154.5. Waiting again.

Exactly an hour in, Emily Whitmire comes out and the staff has the hoop ready, she weighs in at 117.5.

It's just Yoel now.

An hour and 40 minutes in, a towel comes out, followed by Yoel. 185.
