Took my first trip to this shithole last week. I can't believe I was excited. Cold, miserable, crowded, overpriced, dirty, stinky, literally the worst place I have ever been in my life. I can not believe people actually like this place. Riding the New York metro is probably one of the most disgusting experiences i've had in my life. I've been to megacities third world countries that were cleaner.

All cities in America suck, OP, they have no culture or heritage and are entirely consumed by chain stores. Went to Miami over new years for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. It's a much cleaner city.

I enjoyed my trips to NYC. I don’t give a poo poo about the dirt and murder or whatever because I spent a good portion of my life hanging out in Baltimore. Jersey City, on the other hand, lives up to its reputation.

Believe it or not OP, I actually miss when new york was dirtier and a bit shittier. That said, even now new york is pretty cool, theres always something going on no matter what you're into. I'm sure your small town in minnesota or wherever is MUCH more interesting

Last time i was in NY with a friend we went out and got fresh shucked oysters and booze before going to a Broadway show. Wfterwards we found a cool cowboy bar with friendly people. A drug dealer we knew popped in and gave sold us quality, albeit expensive cocaine. We then bar hopped until 3am, took a cab across back to Brooklyn, grabbed a couple sloppy street gyros (extra white sauce please!!!) before passing out. The next day we biked around central park until sunset and then got a fancy dinner. basically what im saying is that tha OP is a loving DWEEB

Cool, normal people visiting nyc: the food was so good, and the subway worked 24 hours a day, we saw a bunch of museums and two shows while we were there! Op: the world’s biggest Applebee’s was very expensive, and a Puerto Rican touched me on the subway
