this is a great reminder to all that you could have always worked from home and that your betters just wanted to punish you for no reason

If you walk your dog around the neighborhood/park here you won't see hardly anyone wearing masks, but everyone keeps distance from eachother (including walking around parked cars to avoid walking past you on the sidewalk)

If you go to the grocery store or to pickup takeout, everyone has a mask

I think this is a reasonable state of affairs. So I'm a bit confused when people say that they go outside and people aren't wearing masks, since I'm not sure which example applies more (and how dense the environment they're in is, like if it's even possible to avoid walking past people)

if i'm walking around outside or riding my bike i'm not wearing one. but if i'm near other people i definitely am. when hiking i've found that everyone just stands on the side of the trail and turns their back to whoever is passing.

same, but I've also taken up homebrewing so I've been drinking a fantastic amount of beer lately. I've also done a lot of cycling and running up hills though so my resting heart rate is ~55 these days. still got the beer paunch though. the two cancel each other out, like yin and yang.

I've tried to quit drinking as much and smoking completely (2 a day ish) a few times this year but it drives me into a mood where I just stare at a wall for 20 minutes at a time and never get dressed or do the dishes. I think the tiny daily reward of a drink and ciggie makes me ok with a day spent doing chores and diy and exercise and not speaking to anyone except the gf. without that I do literally nothing.

if you like beer and it's is expensive where you live then homebrewing is a really great hobby. I'm a totally amature and don't put much effort in and I can already make better stuff then lots of the stuff you get in pubs and it's piss cheap once you get going. I also made very dry ginger beer which is fantastic to drink on a hot day or very refreshing after a few normal beers. very rewarding to make something you like and then you have 25 liters of it.

some of my friends homebrew quite a bit so i don't feel like starting that but i just made some kimchi and a food coma is sort of like being drunk
