I like Disney movies; I like Disneyland and Disney world is ok

I think it’s the fact that Disney has really successfully been able to merchandise its properties, of which most are strongly linked to childhood and probably happier memories for people, that gets really disturbing

The way someone can fill their life with distinctly Disney products creates a weird sterile feeling almost monotonous valley

DIsney's entire business is selling disaffected people their childhood back and their acquisitions this century have been to further that aim

it's deeply disturbing when you think about it

I had my appendix removed in 2018

I felt vaguely sick and lethargic and took a nap and woke up at 5:30 PM and still felt sick and lethargic so I asked my wife to take me to the hospital, once I got there they told me I needed emergency surgery and put me under at 6:45 PM or so, I woke up at 9:00 PM and left the hospital by 10:00 PM because I didn't want to blow a PTO day for surgery.

When I went back to get the incision inspected the surgeon told me I was out of my mind for leaving so fast.
