just went for a run on the lake... my foot is still recovering from a sprain a couple of months ago and my right knee is consistently bothering me but I enjoyed it all the same

Like it created so much goodwill for them and cost them so little cause lets face it no work gets done during that time.

From last page but my previous dev job was a shop in Seattle that knew there was no way they could compete on salary for programmers. They tried to make up for it with fun weekly teambuilding stuff and a good christmas party etc but the most effective thing was they finally just gave everyone that week off, no PTO needed. No one was doing useful work anyway so it basically cost them nothing.
