I got some racism today for buying two jugs of water. I have always bought water from the market ever since my kitchen faucet poured out funky coloured smelly water once but I guess me being Asian during this pandemic gives people the right to comment about or question my purchases. I am pretty displeased about this since this is Canada and I’ve never really experienced this sort of thing before.

it's actually pretty clear that the UK government has bungled this. Maybe spending 4 years telling everyone experts are wrong, you shouldn't listen to "the Westminster elite" and facts don't matter has had a negative effect, who knew?

I hope they lock this poo poo down to solo exercise only like in France as then I'm gonna be able to skate down the middle of the road on the good tarmac as the traffic will be so low, if they ban that then welp, squat thrusts it is otherwise I'm gonna lose what little fitness I have.

over the last several years i've become accustomed to the amount of personal interaction i get from being a professor and teaching several big studio classes every week. i already find the summer and winter breaks socially challenging, because i go from talking to about 100 different people a week to like 5, and the school is deserted and everyone i know with a normal job is still working 9-5 and all my coworkers are AWOL. i'm still working on papers and stuff but the social isolation is really hard.

normally i get through it with hobbies:

- riding motorcycle
- flying airplane
- making new things in the shops
- taking random classes and going to meetups

and, uh, WELP

i have been doing a lot of cooking and playing the piano but the classes have been cancelled since the 9th and i'm beginning to go crazy
