already wfh 1 or 2 days a week, so when we went full time earlier this week i pretty much have it down. we've been told to wfh through april 3rd but everyone's kinda figuring it will be until summer at least. i'm waiting to see if the spring quarter happens all online or if it happens at all.

a bigger problem for me is dfh, as i currently never drink at home but am instead a barfly.

i'm 59 and i'm stupid enough to be a smoker, so i'm more at risk then i need to be, but if i don't go to the bar my health will improve and ill probably just taper smoking down to nothing. so it'll either kill me or make me get healthier

my inlaws will be fairly inlikely to survive if they get it as they're in their early 90s and my mom probably woudn't survive it either and i have mixed feelings about her.

the person i worry about most is someone super close to me who is immunocompromised and i can't imagine the hole in my soul if she ceased to be.

still, working in sweats is nice

yeah, i moved from "premium plus" location (basically bay area + nyc) to "premium" (the rest of california, not sure what else). part of moving to the "remote california" office was the pay cut. if i has stayed in the bay and gone remote i would've transferred to a bay-area-specific remote office code and not have been hit with a pay cut. it's lame but the alternative is to either not move or quit so...

originally it was pitched as a reduction in salary only, but then later they changed it to a salary reduction and also a 5% equity reduction. the latter isn't taken away directly but rather from future projections. i'm pretty pissed about the bait and switch on that, but again...my choices are not-move and quit

oh lol it's equity too? and that's on top of either a 5%~10% tc paycut? lol

imo they're just pissed that they spent money they didnt have to on new buildings for no good reason

ofc bonus is based on salary soooo

idk if the 5% thing applies to me cause when i signed my letter it didn't exist, but since there are no guarantees for equity modeling i have a really hard time believing i won't be affected by it

speaking of wfh what have people seen re: recent changes in remote positions and wfh allowances

i see a lot of corpos trying to claw people back into the office. are we going back to discrimination against remote/wfh?
