I thought it was a bounty hunter who did a lovely job and Jabba tortured him by putting him in that contraption. He plots for years his escape and finally apparently the scene where Luke enters the palace he finds his exit. I also think the door shuts on him and he dies or something.

That specific one might have been (I don't remember), but Jabba's palace supposedly had a bunch of those spider robots scuttling around. According to the old EU, the building used to be a monastery for the brain-spider monks until Jabba decided to move in and make it his dope clubhouse. After Jabba died, the monks then took the place back and turned a bunch of his henchmen into brain-spiders too.

For the past few years I’ve been submitting a version of Emperor Palpatine to various wrestling LPs, he wears sunglasses, comes to the ring to a rap version of the Imperial March, and is a comically giant rear end in a top hat dipshit turbo-heel as a joke that just kind of got wildly out of hand. This is that Palpatine right here.
