There has to be some dire financial news coming down the pipe for WWE if they're releasing talent now. Even then I imagine they put a poison pill in the release that would keep the Revival from working for AEW for a specified amount of time beyond the standard 90 day release no compete, possible even up to the remaining time left on their contracts.

I'm super happy for them. Their entire career since leaving NXT has basically been everyone bitching about how poorly they were being used and asking when their contracts were coming up. Glad they didn't do what everyone feared they would and turn the last 2+ years into a big dumb angle to get a few extra 0's on their paychecks, burning every ounce of good will the fans have for them in the process.

Didn't Corgan or someone basically say the idea was to use it as a sort of pitch to TV networks for a deal? But yeah, even if the coronavirus had never happened, they were never going to sign with Corgan's NWA. They'd probably go to NJPW or ROH before that (assuming AEW never existed/wasn't an option).

They also work a style that is almost custom built to get flippy babyfaces over. Like them vs Jurassic Express or Private Party will make both babyface teams better, AND look like a million bucks. And the obvious FTR/Bucks feud should be excellent. I imagine Dash and Dawson are already working out ways to work over Matt's back.
