One day, a simple man by the name of Iskra Miloslovsky brewed up a very special batch of moonshine - known simply as Shine - that changed the world forever. Much to his surprise, those who drank his creation gained extraordinary abilities - well beyond their wildest dreams! To most, Shine was just an urban legend, and Prohibition was just the Man trying to keep the common people from their alcohol. But anytime a new power rises, so too do those who would take it for themselves...

As the second California Gold Rush continued, the western frontier became even more lawless than ever before. Still nominally American territory - a claim largely backed by Pancho Villa's disinterest in rooting out local resistance - California became a melting pot of fortune-seekers, refugees, and those who would rather not be found elsewhere. Naturally, such a volatile situation could only intensify when the unpredictable whimsy of Shine came into play.

Time and again, tragic scenes played out in isolated mining towns all along the frontier - those with power struggled to seize more, and good men and women died at their hands. Justice was a fleeting dream... but once again, where Shine was involved, the future was always in flux.

One such showdown is already playing out in the town of Eureka, deep in the mountains of Northern California - and no one can yet say what the outcome will be, even as time marches ever onward.

Shine VII: The Longest Day is a flavorful closed-setup game of Mafia for 13 players.

General Rules:

Standard Mafia Rules are in effect for this game. Don't be a dick. Specific addendums follow.
- Twilight posting after the hammer/deadline is acceptable, but please stop posting when day-ending mod posts begin. Do not post if you are dead, period. No exceptions.
- Please play to your win condition!
- No PM comparing shenanigans - format, capital letters, whatever.
- Seriously, don't be a dick. I will reach out to you if I feel you're going beyond the pale.
This game cannot accommodate replacements - please don't sign up if you aren't going to put actual and frequent effort into this game, and see it through to the end.
The nature of this game means I won't be enforcing my usual anti-lurker rules, but the above bullet still holds true.

This game is somewhat experimental in nature, so please only sign up if you're prepared to commit to playing out the game with that in mind.
This is the smallest Shine game yet, and I know a lot of people will want to play. Sorry, I don't have room for everyone! The game will be filled from among those who sign up before I close signups (probably within 12-24 hours after opening the thread). That means even if the game looks full, feel free to sign up if you want to play!
- Don't worry if you miss out, it won't be long before I run another Shine game. Promise.
