Last night I noticed we were all viewing at just a little bit different times, so super-fast jokes about individual shots/ editing decisions /etc don't work all that well, but that just opened up a different kind of more general observational humor about major plot points, costuming, sets etc. If anything it's a self-restraint game once you have 7 silhouettes in the theater. My riff was rusty but I feel warmed up now, thanks again y'all.

And this is the character at his all-time height! No foolin', this is considered in filmy circles to be one of if not the best serials of all time, with remarkable effects, writing and performances. The experiment has failed! Pirate Cove was boring! So we're back to an earlier, work-night friendly start time again. Could be horrible! Could be Jungle Girl (it is)  1941's Jungle Girl has a cool history to it: it is, for example, the very first sound serial to have a female lead. And it's based on a book by Burroughs. And it will... probably have depictions of... jungle peoples in it. Oh boy. I'm not gonna lie, this may be cringe-worthy, but seeing as everybody's favorite anyone is Black Whip, we owe it to ourselves to see if Jungle Girl is even half as awesome.
