the movies last night were terrible! and i mean in not fun ways! though we had a good time making fun of their badness, i am sorry for the uncomfortable moments that reminded us how ungood the 'good ole days' really were. thank you everyone for powering through with jokes and callouts on these "films". i won't always have time to watch movies shown here beforehand, but will try to start the selection and vetting process earlier when possible. and speaking of time, i would have sworn yesterday was Sunday! well, I think reignofevil may host some movies on channel leperscolony tonight if they're feeling well. they were gonna last night it turns out, but postponed it, so if anyone was looking for movie night tonight there probably will be one on reign's channel |

Hi Twitch! its super easy to make a channel! feel free to post it up here, and/or make a thread of your own in the yob or wherever you'd like! you can cross-post to our general chat thread too, and get the word out that way as well test your selections out on the channel first, as some things might not work (like free stuff on the 'youtube movies' yt channel) some movies are blocked in different places, but psp-tv gives you a big yellow prompt listing the blocked countries i'm hoping you and others will take advantage of this awesome goonmade site |

yeah! i was actually planning to do Freaked and Chopping Mall this weekend. tryna decide if im gonna do em saturday or sunday night my time, which is noon sunday or monday your time (3am gmt) i wanna pair dracula with something similar or complementary in tone/cheesiness/cast i think. and im tryna find the streethawk pilot movie to go with spiderman, which looks p.rad itself! magic cactus, i couldnt find after last season free on yt, but that doesnt mean it wont pop up one of these days! looks like a good bad one to watch, i will keep an eye out |

Nope! Noon Sunday for JP, 10 PM Saturday for me in US Central DST GMT is Greenwich Mean Time. JP is currently +09:00 GMT all year long, as they decided to stop using daylight savings time. |

I'm looking forward to Miami Connection, having seen it covered by some hack fraud youtubers. I can see how it might not be the best fodder for mst3k style riffing; it seems like the entertainment value in it could come more from bad blocky fights, the plot, the original-to-the-film 80s music, and the fact that it's a privately-funded vanity project for the guy who made himself the main character and hero In any case, it's gonna be baaaaaaaaad I can't wait |

so i had to research Beta Test a little bit, trying to unlock the mystery of the weird messaging and confused themes (pro gun, pro military, anti corporate, pro gamer, something something conspiracies) apparently the guy who made this wasn't trying to say much at all, and was literally just trying to capture some of the zeitgeist of current events + "conspiracies" in the hope it would lend depth to this idea for making a cheaper action movie by making half of it 'video game' footage from this article quote:Nicholas: I’ve always been a bit of a conspiracy theorist, so I tried to layer in these ideas of today’s prevailing “conspiracy theories”. These ideas of corporations and the men behind the scenes pulling the strings or orchestrating events and actually pushing society towards whatever political agenda is current – that idea has always intrigued me, that kind of grand evil scheme idea. I also really wanted to make an indie film that would capture some sort of spectacle that, if executed properly, could potentially be on par, in terms of visual appeal, with what bigger action movies can offer. And that was the trick. And that’s when the idea for attempting the longest long take fight sequence ever filmed came up. Once I realized, ok, I’m going to go and try and break this record… that sort of married itself with these corporate greed/conspiracy theories. Taking those ideas and then applying the business to the creative, if I can accomplish this in an interesting narrative while cutting costs by developing video game sequences, you can have exciting actions scenes that in large, never need to be filmed. But I knew we had to… because if we didn’t, that spectacle that I was trying to achieve would not have come through, and I needed that action sequence to work in order to sell this and to try and accomplish some kind of cult status, if that’s ultimately in the cards. dude legitimately wanted to make the best film he could, which is an important ingredient for a good bad movie. it's also paced well and unintentionally entertaining; but even if it didn't have the tasteless and horrifying albeit non-visually graphic school shooting, i still wouldn't watch it again. it was fun watching it with y'all though! |

so, i'm gonna run Smile Orange in about 45 minutes, before Dracula and Frankenstein Unbound Smile Orange is a 1976 satirical film set in Jamaica. It follows the day-to-day life of Ringo, played by Carl Bradshaw, a smooth-talking waiter and con-man. The film explores the tourism industry in the Caribbean and seems to suggest there are similarities to slavery in that industry. The film was directed by Trevor D. Rhone (The Harder They Come), who also wrote the play on which it is based, and was produced by Edward Knight.
