This season has been really losing me. The past few episodes have attempted to cram a ton of story into 20 minutes, usually also revolving around new characters, and it ends up feeling like a SparkNotes version of the show. I can barely follow what's going on from one scene to the next anymore.

Gotta say, when character "Guy We've Never Seen" suddenly appeared to basically address the camera about the emotional weight of his hentai doujins before being abruptly swept off inside a slime monster... almost felt like I was watching Konosuba.

They've already hit a good amount of plot points from the game already. There's just a good chunk they're choosing to NOT be obvious about in the anime (Bits about Ameth, links to the "real world", the identities of the other members of the Seven Crowns and their stories). I do like how they're telling the same story though in a somewhat different way.

Yeah I can imagine what that is before clicking. Surprised they didn’t use the point-blank beam but then anime cat is more deredere. The pv for the finale had an instrumental of Absolute Secret though.
