I usually go back to Donkey Kong. That game is a classic and it just shows how good Nintendo was back in the 80's.

Super Mario 2: 6 Golden Coins and Kirby's Dream Land 2 are my go-tos. I want to replay Super Mario World for Super NES to see if it holds up, but I can't find my controller.

Shining Force II or Phantasy Star IV. Both are phenomenal RPGs for the Genesis and still hold up relatively well today. If I'm feeling in the mood for something short, I'll boot up Lightening Force or Contra: Hard Corps.
