There's an Isaac Asimov where there's four computers everyone trusts implicitly who run the world and one of his regular characters investigates an error and finds out the computers were lying about small little things to maintain order. Perhaps our computers at google are lying to the employees about being able to calculate quantum physics and will begin making up imaginary facts
