You are apart of a small military posting, alongside a compliment of expert civilian scientists in all relevant fields, on the Griffiths base conducting research on behalf of the Agorian Coalition. You each will be handed your briefings and personnel dossiers later, in private. Keep your eyes and hands focused on your own tasks. No idle chatter please. Finally, don't ask questions about your teammate's or superior's assignments. If you follow these simple rules, we may just get along for these next few months. Rules Standard mafia rules apply generally apply. Specifically, as an anti-lurker precaution I will mod-kill players who do not manage to post 12 times a day, end of day. Do not directly quote out of thread communication with moderators or players, or your role. I will refer to results without mentioning names of players, only as 'your target', if I fail to do so it is mod error. Flavour is just flavour, take from it what you will. It was a cold, wet, morning when the body of Cpl. Winter was found just outside the mess hall. Green tinged bile leaked from his stiff lips. A significant portion of his collar bone and neck also appeared to be missing. The wound itself however, did not appear to be a gunshot wound strangely enough. Instead, natural fibres found during the autopsy of Winter's body seemed to suggest one of those things have stolen onto Griffiths base during the last resupply. Indeed, Lt. Thriceburn himself confirmed the wound did resemble the sting of those beasts. It's finally time to earn your pay. Secure the base, find the animal. Kill it. Cpl. Winter, player name Town-Aligned Vanilla Town was found dead night 0! Town wins when all threats to town are eliminated.

Who had let it in? That question had plagued the minds of all within the vaulted gates of Griffith base. To what end? Why? Lt. Thriceburn also happened to know that the beast may only be lured with blood. So you drew lots. Then you argued, until finally drawing lots again. Unsatisfied with the results you gave up and just bled Dr. Sven for the trap. Sgt. Mighton nodded grimly, and signed the necessary paperwork. “My understanding is that his specialization has ceased to be relevant anyways.” Unfortunately no beast took the bait. Dr. Sven, Naga Liu Kang Town-Aligned Miller was sacrificed day 1! Night 1 ends in 24 hours. Ish? Try and get actions in by tomorrow.

The next morning you awake to find the body of good, old Lt Thriceburn. He appears to have been inspecting the Doctor’s corpse himself before being shot to death, sometime early in the morning. Frozen on his face... is that a smile of satisfaction? Lt. Thriceburn, Somber Town-Aligned Vanilla Town was shot to death night 1! It is day 2! Deadline... is Sunday 10 pm eastern. Just because weekends are rough.

With no sign of a beast, and a dead officer on the ground, you all turned against each other. The shouting eventually concludes with almost everyone pointing their fingers at Sgt. Mighton, the one who suggested the lots yesterday. He had access to a handgun! He should have been first there in the morning! He should have been able to kill Lt. Thriceburn, or so the argument went. As you all tried to wrestle him into the detention centre the Commander shoots him, scaring most of you half to death. Unfortunately forensics and investigation reveal no motive or means, as Mighton's handgun had not been fired recently. Tsk tsk, another hasty decision. Sgt. Elmryce, Xopods Town-Aligned Compulsive Visitor Were escorted to the newly dubbed... M4-F14 base's prison... Cackling with their assorted old aging pills, murder gun, and alien cosplay tools.... Lmaj. Snide, The CMDR, Mr. Humalong Scum-Aligned Vanilla Scum and... Spec. Sgt. Xavier, Maigius Scum-Aligned Vanilla Scum WON!!! Congratulations Scum! You seized the science! Good try town! This was an interesting game. I hate games coming down to night actions, so I thought a nice little setup where no power roles existed would be good... But I also wanted to have the existence of power roles be plausible to facilitate fake claims like what hum pulled. Good game imo.
