Egad, my summer is ruined! If you haven't lived in a basement playing videogames all day long you might have seen that someone has been bitten by a bat and got a bad case of rabies which released the T-Virus all over the world. Now zombies are roaming the streets and in panic mode the ESA, which probably is not affiliated with the European Space Agency, cancelled their yearly summer games expo, the E3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fysno8xdJWo As I wrote in 2013 E3 is the superbowl sunday of videogames. People are getting days off from work, driving the global economy to a loving grind, just to talk about games that will come out from four to eleven months later and to make educated guesses at how gaming companies are faring. It's a gamer thing, because gaming is not a loving hobby, it's a lifestyle. But what if, I were to purchase internet gaming streams and disguise it as my own event? Enter gaming icon and meme superstar Geoff Keighley. Summoning his spirit of intraprendence and his contacts in the games industry, he decided to collect all the summer streams and deliver them to your own pc personally byte by byte. As you see from the picture above Geoff Keighley died of T-Virus but his conscience was uploaded to the internet and therefore he still manages to send emails and call in favors. As a digital AI he also scrubbed the doritos from his head from the picture above The event is called Summer Game Fest and here below is the official intro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tarf4Z6T6Gs https://twitter.com/summergamefest/status/1256240292304281600 Ok, cool! What are this years gaming events? Thanks for asking!
Hey aren't you forgetting anything? I promised VideoGames I would start making gaming mspaints, but I havent got around to do them (since I am still working from home). I'll be taking requests.

IGN just posted a long article with a whole bunch of schedules and dates. It's a lot of stuff.quote:We’ve got a packed month of game reveals to bring you, not least with three days of IGN Expo, our own showcase for exclusive announcements and reveals from developers across the industry, taking place on June 5, 8 and 9. What I can glean from the schedule: June 5th: 3 new game reveals from Funcom/The Outsiders, Merge Games (publisher of Streets of Rage 4) and an unnamed entity June 8th: Unannounced "Classic Revival' from Merge Games and an unannounced game shown from Fabraz (makers of Slime-San) June 15th: Exclusive game reveal from an unknown entity June 22nd: Unannounced "Classic Revival"

E3 was not perfect but it was often an enjoyable train wreck and having a Super Bowl of Video Games was sort of neat, sometimes. I would at least prefer that over the immediate and exhausting Balkanization of all video game announcements. Ah well.
