this afternoon i got his face stitched on. it was hard because there is not very much room! i pulled out the stitches several times around the sunglasses trying to do a better job. i'm not a thread person but i did try

the body will be next, maybe tonight maybe not, i'm watching she-ra, it's hard to watch if i am trying to wokr

working on sloth today and i hopefully will finish him soon!

i wish my stitches were a little more consistent but i guess that comes with practice

here is the back side, it is two pieces of the blue felt bc it was really thin

my thread has to be refilled so i had to knot it on the inside, i'm supposed to make french knots but in spite of a friend trying to teach me how, i'm hopeless at french knots, i'm sorry

soon it will be time to stuff the sloth and there is a special addition that i will show you before it is stitched up

this lil guy deserves to have a heart

i'm a little messier bc the smaller the felt thing the harder it is to stitch also no one will see this :ssh:

not too shabby tho!

other sloth stuffing items include some beans for weight (which i found gave my 2nd penguin a nice feel) as well as some poly-fill

heartening

ready for final stitching, kind of regretting making that be on the leg side, it seemed like a good idea at the time and less like a good idea now

had a last-min burst of inspiration to add a magnet to his lil paw for stickiness

finished!

hopefully my final knot holds idk i'm not good at knots

thank you byob for your help in selecting sloth as the subject. i mostly enjoyed doing this project. i learned a few things, like, i would probably benefit from better quality felt and floss/thread, and i should start with stitching the hard parts first. also i need to learn how to make knots that aren't granny knots
