Kinda like how there are approximately a million Tiger and WIldcat teams in the NCAA. The team didn't use Rough Riders because the Glieberman family didn't want to pay Horn Chen for the rights to the name and logo.

There's a satirical radio program on the CBC called This Is That. Basically the radio version of The Onion/The Beaverton, and I distinctly remember hearing a bit early on in the shows life where an oil tycoon from Texas purchased the entire CFL and moved them to various cities in America where they did business so he could watch live, professional football wherever he went. Doesn't sound too crazy anymore. Edmonton Football Team™ lol
