The best version of 4 is the one that came in the TBOGT and LAD combo pack.

What difference is it to the original aside from the music from all 3 being in it? Googling told me that bit and not much else

When no one was looking, Serval took forty Japari buns. She took 40 buns. That's as many as four tens. And that's terrible.

The fact that budgeting for music in the PS2 games meant they had to get creative and do deep dives to make a good playlist instead of just picking the biggest hits of the era and calling it a day was such an asset. And I'm convinced a part of why I and V had comparatively weaker radios was because that was after Guitar Hero and Rock Band made.music companies aware of what a goldmine video game licensing was and they started charging a lot more for it.

It's also why IV added this weird feature where you can call a phone number at any time to get the title and artist of a track playing on the radio, licensing is cheaper if you give attribution. EA started doing something similar in the mid-00s where track info would pop up on screen when a song started playing in racing and sports games.

Absolutely. I remember nothing of GTA IV and V radio because it was all so meh aside from those couple of snoop dog songs.
GTA Vice City and SA had great hits to be fair to them. But 3 still holds a special place in my heart maybe because I'm just big into underground music and poo poo.

GTA 1 and 2 Radio was wild. Back before they even used underground artists they just made up their own poo poo.

I'm sure you know this, but for everyone else - this is the album where MSX FM's tracks came from:

Actually I wasn't aware of that MSX despite how many times I've listened to the station. Thanks.

As for the Rise FM track, hell yeah that kicks rear end.
I was always a big fan of Shake

Unfortunately Rise FM and MSX were my go to albums while I was tweaking out during my amphetamine addiction years so going back to listen to these triggers some unwanted emotions but man what I would do to go back. I'd straight up loop them for 8 hours straight and chew the jaw off myself. Hooh boy I would have loved to actually experience that in a club and not in my loving bedroom.

The radio stations in GTA V suck theres way too many of them and its really hard to tell what they're supposed to be. I need a Country station, a disco station, a reggae station etc. Not 25 different stations for minute variations on EDM and Trap music.

Yeah as I'm playing the game I find myself hunting for decent music on the radio. The Los Santos talk radio station is especially worthless.

Bought this album for 99p in HMV (UK) back in the day. Every track an absolute banger, back when DnB was really good.

For twelve years, you have been asking: Who is John Galt? This is John Galt speaking. I am the man who loves his life. I am the man who does not sacrifice his love or his values. This was my favorite RISE FM song.

I need to get back into the PSP GTAs... kinda crazy we haven’t had a proper portable 3D GTA since VCS.

Anyone know if these are worth playing on a PSTV?
