I always assumed that in-universe the apocalyptic war had left Britain largely uninhabitable, and there was something of a re-colonization of Australia as a result. Also I continually confuse Revolution and Rebellion and keep thinking that these guys went on to make Aliens vs. Predator.

I'm curious to know, have you played Primordia? It's a great game, and very much inspired by BASS. It's a little less cruel to its characters, if not as expansive in the world it describes. I also never picked up on the connections with Brave New World that this game has, especially in the sequence with Ms. Piermont. I hadn't read that book when I played this the first time.
