Their current drummer is Dave Mello of Operation Ivy. I met the lead singer, Pete The Roadie, at a Jello Biafra show years ago, and shortly after I learned of this band. They pour 100% of their energy into every set. Their most recent album has a song called Mrs. Arnold, a teacher that tormented Pete as a kid. She ended up serving life in prison for murdering the wife and child of a fellow teacher, with whom she was having an affair. In 2019 a friend of mine told me about BOB Fest, and suggested I attend the next one in Bremen in 2021 (now 2022). I've never even been out of the country before, and didn't want to end up alone in a strange, foreign city, but he said "Dude, just go with us, we'll take care of you man", so I thought "gently caress it, this is a golden opportunity". https://www.bobmusiccollective.com/ Been trying to save money, vacation time, and miles rewards since then, and it's been a nice carrot to chase despite everything going on in the world, so I'm pretty excited about it. I'm hoping I can take a bit of extra time off to just kinda take my time and soak everything in, and it'll be nice to have locals and frequent fliers to show me around the city.
