i definitely left a bunch of quests hanging after the shootout, including the ones at the church. i pretty much just beelined to the island after waking up from that, despite (or perhaps because of) being reasonably thorough before that point. probably give it another go in a year, maybe on PC because navigating some of the spaces with a gamepad was incredibly annoying

kind of ridiculous that the act 2 end fight in bg3 is significantly easier than the lead in fight to get into the place (the one where you're trying to get into the towers and the Harper's are utterly useless and just mill around getting killed while you get completely hosed by multiple casts of black hole and whatever that ice and acid speel aoe is) then when I get to ketheric and myrkul I knocked them out in like 2 turns Powerful Two-Hander fucked around with this message at 11:28 on Sep 18, 2023 |

good thread. I hope non-tile-based games have similarly easy transitions, I have a friend who is just about to release his unity game and he's not exactly the "port everything to godot in two days" kind of guy.

it looks like a lot of the smoothness was because the qud guy had always maintained a layer of abstraction between unity native code and game code. guessing most devs, especially small ones, won't have done this

I started a vampire run in rimworld on losing is fun difficulty yesterday. Gonna take it easy and and try my best not to save scum. And for the hell of it, I am also streaming it on twitch, but I won't be talking and I definitely won't be showing my ugly mug on the stream.
