there was an ARG that did dump some new lore, so there's that

I don't blame anyone for writing it off based on that video or bungie's post-marathon history but I'm at least going to wait for gameplay

haha, i forgot about the reactions! i had it on and the first time i thought it was because i ran up with a weapon out, the second time it was odd, the third time was intentional

i just started this, having never played any of the system shocks (:negative:). I was trying to play on the couch but I think the controller controls are A) a little buggy and B) it doesn't give you any aim assist so making headshots is a bit difficult and C) jesus christ i thought i was doing fine then tried returning back to the central hub in medical and there were like 6 guys. ok thats fine i'll go the long way around back to the med station to heal myself. jesus christ there are like 8 mutants blocking my wtf!! i don't need an answer but i'm guessing the ai respawns from the central hubs and works their way outward? need to be better about closing doors I guess and/or i wonder if being sneaky helps at all... hmm

either way i think having kb+mouse will help me since i'll be able to reliably do headshots, the ranged dudes are loving me up a bit on controller, especially if there is more than one, and the lean doesn't seem to work

Yeah the game is mostly stable minus the menus, anytime I pull something up the framerate dips to like 2.

i dunno it seems like when I do headshots they die in fewer (usually one) hit but like I said I never played them before so I don't really know.

even if it's not I miss a lot on the controller so the mouse would def help in that regard.

so do you not have little stutters every second or so when planetside, like moving around or whatever? as tiny as they are they really annoy me

you can't even gently caress off back into space, the sentinels will follow you and spawn a sentinel frigate and it's such a whole riggamarole

nms is a very poorly optimized game that just got worse over time. i stopped playing a couple years ago after an update that made the pop in so bad that i’d be jetpacking over smooth, badly textured terrain because it couldn’t draw the grass fast enough

Toilet Rascal
you've never been able to escape sentinels by going to space, all the way back to launch

on some planets it's feasible to run far away enough that no sentinel can catch up enough to aggro on you, but on some planets they spawn too often for this to work. can you still hide in structures?
