the steam controller’s touchpads work extremely well, the problem was never with the build quality or the functionality; people just didn’t like the design

no, he sold out and now spends his time tweeting racially. Microsoft gets all the money.

also you want to buy the java version which is moddable, not the microtransaction-ridden Windows app store version.

Are there any mods that are like the old industrial craft mods where you build machines but that are updated for the new versions of minecraft? Last time I checked all the mods were still on v1.8 or something

all the mods are more or less still on 1.12 because 1.13 completely reworked how water functions (blocks can now be wet, meaning you can have plants and whatnot in water) and the primary third-party modding API decided to rewrite from scratch for 1.13 since Mojang has also been migrating the game from hardcoding everything to having actual (properly namespaced) assets stored in data files

oh, if you want the Factorio experience there's things like Thermal Expansion for machinery & item pipes and Applied Energistics for automation (this one is wild, you build mini-factories that can take certain inputs and produce certain outpus and then teach the mod the dependency graph to use your different mini-factories to assemble the sub-components for your final product)

I haven't really built super complicated machinery but as I understand it all of that can be done in the base game except turning feathers into arrows. unless you want the meat and feathers sorted separately, there doesn't seem to be a base part that can do that

no, you can build item sorters with some bullshit involving hoppers and redstone and some way of moving items around (either flowing water or a chest minecart)

this is tricky because the game doesn't already have an uncontrollable making GBS threads mechanic so you can't just do a straight texture swap

I read an entire article about how people that actually enjoyed Fallout 3 and 4 seem to have universally done this. They're very good exploration games with weak plots, so whoever ditches the plot first has the most fun.

New Vegas was more liked because you could stick to the guided story part more and still enjoy it.

Yeah, Elder Scrolls games are good for just wandering and seeing what you find and generally having a good time.

New Vegas had a really good plot with choices that matter, but in order for the choices to matter all your options had to be ambiguously lovely which means the game is mostly a downer.

Proton doesn't work on Macs. The funny thing is that if you look at their revision control history, it once did, but they removed it before release.

Which in retrospect was the correct decision since Apple dropped 32-bit support entirely and running 32-bit applications requires turning off Gatekeeper and relying on undocumented syscalls.

the weird thing is that this has spread to the PlayStation and the Switch with e.g. Hentai vs. Evil

uncheck the adult games option in your store preferences, I think if your account is old enough it got turned on automatically when the option was introduced and then they changed to be off by default for new accounts
