To be fair the tomb raider reboots have been atrocious. The first one was like OK this is alright a little weird with the gratuitous deaths but w/e and then they just hyper focused on the worst parts each successive game. Talk about derivative

The bigger joke is computer touchers complaining about the costs of video games and paying for gamepass etc when developers (indie/small, the good ones) are already telling us its affecting quality and their ability to make a profit. Can't wait for the subscription hell world Microsoft brings us surely there are no other platforms or services in the last few years consumers could look at and see "wow this sure did fragment and dilute everything, maybe I shouldn't subscribe!"

I mean the only two reasons to ever buy used were a) catching it on sale which is easier these days but not guaranteed and b) reselling it. I don't bother anymore because its a pain in the rear end to sell games anymore, GameStop either gives you pennies or nobody responds on your Craigslist ad, can't even get a couple bucks for some of these last physical games I'm trying to get rid of.

I actually like the combat / bugs aspect of factorio, though I get why some people wouldn't. Feel like I might get bored with DSP if can't shoot some poo poo or blow up the sun because I hosed up my build or whatever

Tribes 2 is still the best multiplayer shooter of that generation IMO and still has a community https://www.playt2.com/ (at least when I checked a few years ago it was active) I think BC2 is the only modern multiplayer game to come close / surpass it?

Ya it looks like a boring cross between fallout 4 and no mans sky. Looks like it needs a good story and character interaction to compensate and thats been Bethesdas weakest skill for 20 years. The ship combat looks potentially (surprisingly) fun?
