tbh if you have no nostalgia for the series just play something like smt or persona instead. s/v are really fun but they're clearly aimed at literal children, p much the only challenge in them is that it's easy to fight someone and realize they're 20 levels above you lol

i have like 10ish hours on it and enjoyed it, but the combo system annoys me because the pairings are completely nonsensical. as a result I haven't bothered playing nearly enough to actually unlock a lot of the more interesting poo poo
