I literally have no excuse, I've volunteered in a program the captures feral cats, fixes them and releases them for vermin control, and they have to cull the population occasionally.

It is kinda funny that in the Australian Outback, noted for varied and dangerous wildlife cats are apex predators though.

I went out for a 6 month deployment, the place where you park your car for that is a nice grassy field next to some woods. Those little fuckers ate my engine air filter, the insulation off my hood, the insulation off my trunk lid, everything inside was soaked in piss and covered in poo poo (fortunately they didn't nest in the passenger compartment, since I'm allergic as gently caress to that stuff)

Anyway, a few weeks later I went on a snowboarding trip, my gear was stored in the trunk, I had checked my boot laces and whatnot to make sure those little buggers hadn't chewed through them, but I didn't look inside the boots.

I picked one up to put it on, and it was like 5 lbs heavier than it should be, and there was insulation stuffed in the top, pull the insulation out, and the size 14 boot is stuffed to the brim with acorns, it seemed like it took 5 minutes to empty them all out, made a big ol pile in the parking lot.

A lot of people are too dumb to realize this, and are complete no-filter stream of conciousness on their SM sites, I'm friends with a couple of them, my favorite is the dude who just open-palm slams the post button on the worst right-wing, left-wing, and Libertarian memes I've ever seen. Dude's pretty high ranking, been in over 20 years, you'd think he'd have some discretion.

It was a little hard not to tear up.

Sorry about your roomate's kitty, 20 years is a good run, I hope he passes peacefully to the big mouse-chasing ground in the sky. I literally have no idea what I'll do when it's Rosie's time :/

I think there are people that would say they're anti-fascist there, I think the right wing thinks that ANTIFAs more of a centrally organized institution than it is.

I remember frying the caps in my Dad's old JVC pumping tunes in the 90's, old reciever came with a signed thank-you note from the prez. Of JVC.

Anyways, whatever you're plugging into that kills the noise probably has an isolation bridge to neutral, since grounded and grounding conductors are indistinguishable, electrically speaking

No double insulated (two prong device) piece of equipment should be grounding (more accurately bonding) any metal/cable shielding/etc to the grounded (neutral) conductor, due to the potential for the grounded conductor to suddenly become a very hot conductor if its return path is interrupted. Maybe you could do it through an isolation transformer?
