i know people who draw porn comics professionally so i don't think it's that weird that people get into that

i just think it gets weird when the age of the characters gets into the 18-20 range, because i'm 36 and i do not subscribe to "if it's 18 it's fine" because that's literally half my age

But what if your character is in the 18-20 range? Should you go for the love interest that’s appropriate for your character’s age, or your actual age?

Watching trailers for new games recently has made me realize that a good portion of games have become basically indistinguishable from each other visually. Now that photorealism and physically based shaders are the norm, brick walls just look like brick walls, water looks like water, clouds look like clouds, and grass looks like grass. We're beyond the point where every game had an inherent level of stylistic abstraction that gave it a unique character. I'm super hyped for the Demon's Souls remake, but I'm basically resigned to the fact that it's going to lose some of the strange abstract quality that the original had just by virtue of being part of this generation. I'm hoping that it's a phase like coloured lighting and physics puzzles and eventually photo-realism becomes just a tool in the toolbox. I'm playing God of War on PS4 right now and it looks stunning, but for the most part, it could be any game. If Kratos isn't on the screen, you could tell me it's any current-generation game and I would have no reason to doubt it.

This will become even worse soon, as every developer will use the same Quixel assets for UE5

Hosted by Nolan North and Emily Rose, the stars of the Uncharted series, you'll see over 40 games, including seven world premieres and some surprises from developers including Square Enix, Modus Games, Team 17, Curve Digital and more. As the name suggests, the Future Games show will feature a special spotlight on the future of gaming - with insight from key development figures in areas such as visuals, audio, machine learning and storytelling - to create a clearer picture of what we can expect from PS5 and Xbox Series X going forwards"

From the games so far, doesn't seem like the "actual reveals show"

Very bad. If you are arrested, you are presumed guilty. The Japanese justice system has a conviction rate of near 100%, and it is not because they are good at finding the actual criminals

Left for it due to the Taxman's shenanigans six months ago from an invite here and all it needs is more people; a whole gaggle of goons have already been jumping ship for there right now. Games forum there could really use some fresh blood too. Don't have to be a screaming communist (Though why aren't you at this point? :dadjoke:) to join so long as you ain't a Nazi, transphobe, and the like. Not to mention we actually got Xenforo. There's a :10bux: entry fee but right now they're waiving the fee, just tell me or the admins the username you're registering with and you're good; though they're getting swamped right now due to aforementioned gaggle of goons so it might take a couple days for you to get cleared. This community was cool and was indeed probably the best place talk about games so it would be a shame to lose it.

This is true but the game is also full of visual language to tell you what can and can't be climbed on.

Like in TLOU2 you know that if something's green you may as well not bother.

There are actually a few places that seem to "green" to be passable, but hide secrets. Not sure any of them were accessed through climbing, though.
