  • Rollins' forced Black to watch Carrillo get curbstomped, then curbstomped Black too.

  • Lana and MVP argued backstage over who is exploiting Bobby Lashley.
  • US Champion Apollo Crews handpicked Kevin Owens as his first challenger. The match ended with a DQ when Andrade attacked.
  • Apollo Crews and Kevin Owens defeated Andrade and Angel Garza in a tag match. Crews once again got a clean pin on Andrade.
  • The Viking Raiders won a game of bowling by a single pin over The Street Profits to even up 2-2 in the "Anything You Can Do, We Can Do Better" challenge.
  • Billie Kay defeated Nikki Cross in a singles match.

  • WWE Champion Drew McIntyre defeated MVP in a singles match. The show ended with Bobby Lashley putting Drew into a Full Nelson.

____________________________

Last month's recap:
  • Empty Arena matches due to COVID-19 continued, WWE still refuses to reference it by name despite now selling face-mask merchandise.
  • WWE ended the month finally following AEW's lead and putting wrestlers in the "crowd", but made them stand in place for up to 9-10 hours a day for multiple days of tapings.
  • Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro started randomly being associated with Baron Corbin for no reason, while Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn wasn't ever mentioned by name.
  • A series of video packages aired through the month celebrating Jeff Hardy overcoming his addictions, despite a more recent DUI post-dating the time the video was covered. WWE then ended the month with an angle where somebody (presumably Sheamus) faked that Jeff was driving while intoxicated again. Matt Hardy immediately tweeted a reminder that he was happy to be working for AEW now.
  • AJ Styles - back from being buried alive by Undertaker at Wrestlemania - was randomly drafted to Smackdown out of nowhere in exchange for "future considerations".
  • Ricochet and Cedric Alexander began a feud with Shane Thorne and Brendan Vink that went 50/50, then Vink and Cedric disappeared and Ricochet and Thorne went straight to Main Event (the show, not the top match on the card).
  • Adam Cole retained his NXT Championship over Velveteen Dream, Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher lost their tag titles to Imperium and then Thatcher beat Riddle in a singles match ahead of Riddle going to Smackdown. Drake Maverick, who remains legitimately fired in real life, made it to the final of the Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament along with El Hijo del Fantasma.
  • Drew Gulak was temporarily finished with the company over a disagreement on money for a new contract, but this was quickly resolved and Drew returned to Smackdown.
  • Sami Zayn, unlike Jordan Devlin, was stripped of the IC Title for mistakenly taking WWE at their word that it wouldn't be held against anybody who didn't want to travel and wrestle during a global pandemic. AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan made it to the finals of that tournament.
  • Sonya Deville beat Mandy Rose in every match they had.
  • Ember Moon reported her achilles injury from taking part in the stupid 24/7 backstage chases may have ended her career.
  • Bayley continued to be an MVP during this pandemic, delivering some wonderful trash talk along the way and continuing a long-running angle about whether she is exploiting her best friend Sasha Banks despite the two constantly succeeding and working together as a unified pair.
  • 24/7 Champion Ron Gronkowski returned to the NFL and WWE is desperately trying to cash in on him still being champion.
  • Otis and Asuka won the Men's and Women's Money in the Bank briefcases respectively. Baron Corbin threw Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio off the roof but luckily a second, slightly shorter roof was beneath them.
  • Becky Lynch revealed she was pregnant and that Asuka had actually won the now vacant Raw Women's Title the night before at Money in the Bank.
  • Randy Orton and Edge are building up to a match that WWE is insisting on marketing as,"THE GREATEST WRESTLING MATCH... EVER!" ahead of time.
  • Zelina Vega's Stable of Very Pretty Men kicked Austin Theory out of the group, and he was picked up as part of Seth Rollins' cult consisting of Seth, Buddy Murphy and now Austin Theory.
  • Apollo Crews defeated Andrade to become the new United States Champion.
  • Bobby Lashley is now being mentored/managed by MVP. Lana is not happy and Shane Thorne and Brendan Vink disappeared from his company.
  • The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders took part in a series of embarrassing vignettes of playing basketball, mini-golf and axe-throwing contests.
  • In sad news, former Cryme Tyme wrestler Shad Gaspard drowned while making sure rescuers saved his son when both were caught in a riptide.
  • Seth Rollins hurt Rey Mysterio's eye and it was casually announced out of nowhere that Rey would be retiring in June (he probably won't be retiring in June).
  • Raw, Smackdown and NXT all hit record lows in ratings/demographic breakdowns etc before having a bump back up towards the end of May.
  • Apparently referees, executives and producers are all getting paycuts, despite the fact WWE is making record revenues/profits higher than any they've ever made before and the company is cash-rich and making out like a bandit from this Global Pandemic. The stock ended the month at $46.27 a share, up from $43.92 at the start of the month (it was $62.83 in January).

With the obvious caveat that it's WWE history (i.e, whitewashed and edited to fit their own narrative), I'd recommend he try any of the WWE 24 specials. They take a specific wrestler and showcase the 24 hours before a major event in their career, with backstage footage and interviews etc. They're easy to watch and tend to be solid and well-made documentaries.

Also he's going to be forgotten in the Cruiserweight undercard within a month and no-one will remember this.

One of the real missed shots to my mind was after the CWC and the formation of 205 Live, THE Brian Kendrick was doing a neat angle where he was very humble and timid and always talking about how he'd messed up in the past and just wanted another shot etc.... and then he either became CW Champ or got a #1 Contenders sport, I forget which, and he was on guest commentary and you hear him starting to spark up and say,"Oh man I can't wait to be rich again. There's so much stuff I wanna buy and people won't be able to walk all over me anymore!" and it was clear the storyline was that he'd learned nothing and was set to make all the same mistakes again... and then as best as I can recall, they just did absolutely nothing with this apart from maybe making him a generic heel type against another wrestler, maybe Gallagher?

I would not be surprised if the initial character beats were something Kendrick came up with himself and then he made the mistake of WWE deciding to take an interest and "help" him by slotting him into a generic role as a straightforward bad guy.
