trump is going to riff for like 30 min on how the libs tried to shut them down and he wouldn't allow it, and the crowd will be hollering and hooting non-stop, tearing up masks, etc.

Even if you were pro trump and wearing a mask, I guarantee someone will rip it off or scream in your face. Only the press will have them on, which will just throw the chuds into a greater frenzy

Continually impressed that "open er up" entails not just returning to normal habits but everyone getting out of control and purposefully overdoing everything. This is fine.

"We can go out to the bars again" immediately translated to a non-stop mardi gras and negative social distancing.

It's ok because there are *only* hundreds of known new daily cases in Denver. Meanwhile people were losing their poo poo in March when they learned of like ten cases in a single ski town.

Going to the beach per se isn't so bad. It's what your mom does before and after (restaurants, stores, shopping, etc) that's critical. Maybe talk to her about getting in and out without adding on other activities?

I go to the beach once or twice every weekend and avoid any contact with people or getting anywhere close to other groups. Just us and the sand and water, as if we were hiking. When we're done we get in the car and go straight home. In the before times I'd get some food or beer at the beach kiosks. The sea is the only bathroom now...
