I don’t have a link because it’s buried halfway into a Joe Rogan episode with Schaub, but he says that Neal was going off on some young kid he saw at the comedy store about how “Stand Up Specials shouldn’t be about dick and fart jokes!” or some other BS and Gaffigan goes “you’re right Neal, they should be for using one mic to emotionally manipulate your audience, one mic for pretending you haven’t had your jokes memorized for over a year, and one mic for referencing your celebrity friends” and no one heard from Neal for the rest of the week. It’s Jim making fun of Neal’s artsy-fartsy 3 Mics special from a few years ago.
