Are they just hiding over the next dimension? How can we have tens of thousands of years of modern human civilization without having figured out what goes on in the afterlife? People from the past lived evil, brutal lives compared to many modern humans. With few exceptions, even the best of them would probably be viewed as irredeemable monsters by the standards of today. So they're all probably in Hell. Either that or Heaven is Hell because when you get there you have to be neighbors with a caveman who ate three of his seven children but was otherwise a nice guy by the standards of 30,000BC Or just like, a regular guy from the 1930s who was really nice to all his neighbors and gave to charity but thought Jews and Black people were scum.
