Can’t die until I do burnouts in the Grand Prix, guess I should pull my finger out and get the drive line in it this weekend.

Amazon refunds are hit and miss it seems. I have had stuff arrive in the padded envelopes that were never sealed so arrived empty. Not had issues with replacements or refunds but they did kill price matching when they reduce the price on something after you order it but before it arrived.

Had a crown build up today, not quite wisdom teeth but yeah dental work sucks. Gaming laptops are a better idea now than a few years back since they have some decent power. I am looking to replace my 5 year old desk top with one as long as I can get enough monitor outputs.

British Politics 101: Prez = Queen Majority Leader of the House = Prime Minister Prime Minister is the lead of the party that currently has the monarchs permission to form a government usually the party with a majority or the party that leads a majority coalition. So you elect the Prime Minster to be a Member of Parliament and the Party elects them to be the leader of the Party. This will all be on the test.

I would say since Victoria the Monarch has been more a figurehead. Even before Victoria the power of the Crown had been limited since the period post English Civil War and the Protectorate. The British Government is a bicameral body like the US but the House of Lords has very little power now since having an unelected body have authority in a Parliamentary Democracy wouldn’t be cricket.

Finding one that is reliable, doesn't leave behind a huge mess and does good work is next to impossible unless you go to one of the big companies and pay through the nose for work. I have a guy who is local who takes cash under the table and does ok work and I am thankful for that.

Has anyone used the chain auto glass places to replace rubber seals on a classic? Need my front and rear windscreen seals done and not sure if I need a specialist or not.

They would break it after the disclaimer then claim to be able to get new glass for only $2000. There is a body place in town who did a good job on my wife’s car so might just go see them and ask if they do it or do they have a guy. It would be great if someone would come do it on the drive but I am already resigned to once it is running g and driving having to take it somewhere for things like window seals and felts and just to go over it and do the inspection.

I bought my house and had an inspection etc... and it was pretty worthless since the guy missed a lot of big ticket items that were borderline illegal (plate welded into rusty furnace) to obvious but didn't check (missing stone work on chimney). Only thing that was worth doing was paying to have someone check the septic system as that needed replacing and allowed me to renegotiate the price and get max credit on closing. Next place I buy if I am serious I am paying for a general inspection as well as a plumber, electrician, HVAC and roofer to check it out because money spent then will save me in the future.

Boomers are saying we should buy big houses so we buy their big houses which are a liability for them now they are old. Of course we should also pay magnitudes more than they bought it for in the 80s because interest rates are low and blahgargle

I moved from the UK with 2 suitcases and a PC, I have tried to not collect a lot of stuff because it is just stuff you have to dispose of or move around in the future. The wife on the other hand has boxes of her diaries from when she was a teenager that she refuses to digitize and get rid of.

If you are looking to buy then your realtor will tell you it is a sellers market and to put in a high offer, if you are selling you will be told it is a buyers market and to take the first offer at asking because you won’t get better. They just want the house sold for minimal effort on their part to get their 3%. Fight me.

KYOON GRIFFEY JR posted:the good job advice is Always Be Lookin and the corollary to that advice is probably don't jump ship unless you got other concrete options This, some money is better than none and in the coming months the push for more flexibility with remote working is likely to only get stronger. It only takes a few big companies to start offering it, Twitter already has, Google is extending work from home until next summer which likely will become permanent remote options. The companies who refuse to change will reduce their potential recruitment pools further and will feel compelled to be more flexible. The final part is that by concentrating certain industries in certain cities and metros those areas are pricing out even the people who work in those industries. Why work hard in tech or finance or law etc... only to squeeze yourself into a room in a shared apartment with 3 others in a city?
