I don't see why a ref can't have an earpiece in and be getting feedback from other refs who are watching the broadcast. Seems like it would help with some of these lovely stoppages and non-calls on fouls etc.

It was a bad stoppage but he wasn't out cold and appeared to at least be in a defensive position for a second. We've seen fighters get flash knocked out before similarly and then pop up to protest the stoppage. By the time Herb got in there though, he could have easily seen that Jai was clearly out of it and not gonna offer any type of defense.
